Uneventful business trip to Wroclaw in Poland. Met many very friendly people. Small adventures at the airport. One passenger at security was worried about the radiation of the body scanner. She started a lengthy discussion with the security guard, a line of impatient people started to build behind her immediately. The security guard pointed out that the radiation levels that she would receive during the flight were thousand-fold higher than what the machine would provide. He had a point.
At Frankfurt, a girl of perhaps six was walking about, crying. My fatherly instincts took the overhand and I asked her what was wrong. She couldn’t find her mother anymore! None of the hundreds (!) of other passengers coming by took any notice. Together with a stewardess we managed to find the mother close by, in one of those fish tanks reserved for smokers. Not that I object to smoking per se. You have to prioritize in life, I guess.
