We had a couple of days for a trip to northern Italy, and we decided to stay close to the Lago Maggiore. You can click on the photos to learn more about Varese, the town that we visited.

We had an excellent lunch in one of the local restaurants. The day was unexpectedly hot, so we had to stay in the shade as much as we could.

There weren’t many tourists about; I was surprised by the quiet.

All in all, a very nice visit, to a very pretty town.
