Cairo is much busier than this movie suggests. Traffic is absolutely wild, with cars getting precariously close to one another – and as a result there is no car without a dent or scratch. The government is now planning to move the parliament and consulates and all governmental offices to a new town 40 miles to the east of Cairo, so that the city traffic will get some release. Interestingly the subway in Cairo is one of the oldest in the world.
